My Xmas Holiday: A Brief Recap
Things I have done over the Xmas Holiday:
1. Watched way too much Felicity - Season 3.. I own 1,2,3 and finished 3... I am pleased to find out that there is a FOURTH that I have yet to own/watch.
2. Broke my camera, took it in to get fixed under the 1 year warranty and was told I need to wait THREE WEEKS for its return. ARgh! I think that's the only reason why I'm writing this post.... no pictures. Grrrr.
3. Watched Serendipity and thoroughly enjoyed the movie once again despite its ridiculousness at times. Thanks Mandy!
4. Met 4 online people in the flesh... Farah, Mike, IGD, and oh yah.. that Dallas Dude. (Yes, I kinda sorta entered the realm of online dating with Dallas Dude.. very interesting realm to any of you considering.)
5. Received some ever-so tacky gifts from mom.. it wouldn't be a proper Xmas without them.
6. Watched the snow disappear and now reappear. Yaye!
7. Visited family in Oshawa and entered the craziest.zoo.ever.. eleventeen thousand babies, sixteen dogs, cousins everywhere.. pretty sure my family likes to breed.
8. Talked to my niece on the phone and experienced one of those "shit, I'm a bad aunt" moments..
Kaitlin: I got so many gifts this morning.. I loooove the game that nan gave me! What'd you give me again?
Mer: Um, err.. I haven't sent your gifts yet.
Kaitlin: Oh, that's ok - I was just wondering.
Mer: Doh.
9. Heard all about KT's brand spanking new Mazda6 while envisioning my old volvo (that now has 415,000km and a not-functioning heat fan) in my head during the entire discussion...
10. Sat through picture hell with Kelly on Xmas Eve... If I have to hear Kelly say, "No, take one more so I don't have a double chin!!" one more freakin' time, I'll scream. The girl *does not* even have anything closely related to a double chin. It's CHRISTMAS EVE.. smile for the god-damned picture.
Final Thing I Did: Saw Coffee Guy #1 at The Duff twice but never said hi or told him who I was b/c it was too weird...
Final Final Thing I Did: Bought Brett this figurine because of this as a joke and I think he actually liked it.
Final Final Final Thing I Did: ALMOST got my cases practically published until I received 7 emails requesting changes, edits, magic tricks, etc. etc.
Final-est Thing I Did: Traveled back & forth to Toronto 20x and remembered yet again that I miss Toronto (and not just b/c of the fact that there is a Second Cup on every corner)... BUT, I also remembered how much I DO NOT miss waiting for the streetcar in the freeeeeeeezing cold dead of winter. And what's up with the new Starbucks at College/Dovercourt? What a disappointment it was seeing that - bad Starbucks bad Starbucks... Poor Kubata.
Funniest Thing I Heard Over Xmas: At church during the children's story-time.. little farmer boy: "My dad ran over my snowman with his tractor!" (I think it was a combine..) Only in the country...
And that's it, Xmas Holiday 2005 recapped. It really was more exciting than it sounds. ;) I got Vanilla Bean Noel from Bath & Body Works! Mmmmmmmmmm... yummiest body lotion ever - I'm thinking about using it as flavour for my coffee.

Yup, it was a wee gathering at Fionn McCool's and the Wheat Sheaf with a few too many drinks... I finally met Farah and Fat Mike.. Chris came with and I also met IGD. Don't ask me why I wasn't in a picture taking mood this weekend - but I hardly took any pix at all... I think it was all the juicy gossip and stories. It was a great time and I'm pretty sure I need to get-together with Farah & this gang more often! ;)
UPDATE: IGD writes about the ever-so-critical Chris bashing the International Plowing Match on Saturday night - I forgot about that! lol The IPM is Glencoe's name to fame and all Chris could do was BE CRITICAL. ;)
